Gala jam can be prepared in two ways. The classic three-day technology allows you to keep the slices intact and obtain a clear, thick syrup. The quick method is suitable if you want results on the same day - the texture will be softer and closer to jam, but the taste will remain rich.

• Spread butter (lactose-free will do).
