Preparation
Step 1
- Brew fireweed, mint, thyme and lemon zest in a teapot.
- Pour boiling water over and let sit for 5-7 minutes.
Step 2
- While the infusion is brewing, cut Alva into very thin slices - with a knife or on a slicer.
- Lay out the slices overlapping each other so that each new “petal” overlaps the previous one.
- Gently roll into a rose shape.
Step 3
- Place the apple bud in the bottom of the cup.
- Slowly pour the hot infusion into the center of the flower.
- The slices begin to open slightly, and a living apple flower appears in the cup.
